Why am I not able to sleep?!


Question: Why am I not able to sleep!?
I recently gave up smoking and began training for a half marathon!. I have very little sugar and caffeine in my diet!. I don't eat processed food, eat sweets, or drink alcohol very often!. When I go to bed it takes me forever to get sleep, then when I do I wake up about an hour later and can't get back to sleep!. I've tried nytol and other sleeping medication and nothing works!. I'm going crazy here! ANY help would be greatly appreciated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you stressing or thinking too much before going to bed!? That could definately keep you up!. If it is, create a list as you come up with things that need to be done, and check things off as you do them!. Getting organized like that can help you relieve some stress so you can feel relief as you check things off!. Ever try meditating!? It sounds cheesy, but it really works for some people!. Do you take any medication!? One of the effects could be insomnia or some other sleep related problem so maybe you can look into that!. Also, try not to exercise or eat atleast three hours before bed because that can keep you up as well!. Also, if you are dreading going to bed, or praying that you'll sleep, you're setting yourself up for a restless night as you are creating more anxiety!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do you know why you're waking up after only an hour!? Could it be withdrawal symptoms from the habit of smoking!? How fast did you quit!? What's your sleep routine- calm down, dim lights, do something relaxing before going to sleep- do you do that!? Start there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
