Question: Why are some people so incompetent with running businesses or managing personal finances!?
I worked for a guy that owned a restaurant like Quiznos or Subway!. He kept it open about 3 hours too early and 3-4 hours too late everyday!. He also wanted the place to make money too!. Since it did deliveries, we were always in a real jam at lunch and dinner because we didn't have enough people!. He also wanted us to get out right after we closed, instead of cleaning the place properly!. He's now about to lose it for failing his franchise reports and health inspections!. My senior manager can't convince him to look at the numbers and make the hours more sensible!. His lovely house was collateral to get the franchises!. Oh, did I mention he got a second location and put it in a ridiculous place everyone knew wasn't going to make money!?
My dad is a doctor and makes six-figures!. He's almost 60 and nearly broke, and he doesn't even live the high life!. He hates his job, works for less than he's worth even when he gets about 10 offers a week in the mail!. When other people were getting their houses foreclosed, he almost lost his because he wanted to write a book instead of work!. He could honestly be retired if he managed his money better!. He puts himself in a voluntary financial crisis!.

My dad is a doctor and makes six-figures!. He's almost 60 and nearly broke, and he doesn't even live the high life!. He hates his job, works for less than he's worth even when he gets about 10 offers a week in the mail!. When other people were getting their houses foreclosed, he almost lost his because he wanted to write a book instead of work!. He could honestly be retired if he managed his money better!. He puts himself in a voluntary financial crisis!.

I have watched a relative work all of his life, he's now 60, has never owned a home of his own!.!.!.has made good money in the 40 yrs he's been employed!.!.!.and he and his family have NOTHING to show for all the yrs he's worked!
He LOVES cars!.!. and that's all he buys and in the meantime he rents an apt while paying more in car payments than rent!. He has nothing saved and he lives paycheck to paycheck!. One would think that a person this age would want to be comfortable and able to relax and enjoy the fruits of his labor!.!.!.but he's just like a child!.!.he never sees the reality of anything!.
Do you remember the Aesop Fable about the Grasshopper and the Ant!?
Well, the Ant was a hard worker who gathered seed and prepared for the winter months while the Grasshopper fiddled around and danced throughout the summer and was never prepared for the future!.!.!.!.guess what happened to him!?!.!.!.!.he froze to death in the winter because he wasn't prepared!.
This relative of mine, it would serve him right if his wife left him!.!.he truly does not deserve her! He is such a loser!
Why are people like this!? I will never know, I just chalk it up to selfishness!

I would suggest you read Robert Kiosaki's book, "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" and some of his other books!. In it he tells about his real father, the one who never had enough money and his friends father who introduced him to a whole different way of thinking about money and business!. You'll learn that some people are so tied to what they feel is security- a good education followed by a good job- that they can't see outside of this limited world!. The rich dad had a very different view of people and the world and it became Robert's way of thinking too!. Now he gives talks and has a whole series of "Rich Dad" books on different topics, some written by co-authors!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
