Question: Some things I can tell myself when I am extremely overwhelmed!?
I'm suffering from severe anxiety and depression, as diagnosed by my therapist!. I am under a huge amount of stress right now!. Can anyone give me some little phrases or something I can say to myself to calm myself down so I can function and get something done today!? Please help!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I suffer from anxiety and depression and anxiety as well!. When I feel overwhelmed I often say to myself "baby steps!." You want to break down big things into little things to make them less threatening!. You also might want to assure yourself that it will be OK and take deep breaths to calm yourself down!.
One foot in front of the other also works!.
You can also visualize yourself accomplishing the little tasks!. When you feel you can handle something you are more likely to do something!.

You could go to the gym to try and work this out but I also find that counting is a good way to center yourself and clear your mind!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
