Help! Is this a side effect of Prozac?!

Question: Help! Is this a side effect of Prozac!?
I've been taking 10mg for a few weeks now and i've noticed positive changes in my mood and energy level however!.!.!.
I'm hungry all the time!. Like in a way where my stomach is aching like I haven't ate in days!.
This is strange because I have definitely not been eating less!. I have been eating a little more actually but i've been exercising so I haven't gained or lost weight (and I'm not over or under weight to begin with)
So its really not a health problem but it is really annoying that I am so desperately hungry all of the time when i'm eating normal!.
Could this be due to the Prozac or the increased exercise!? Will I get used to it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I suppose it depends a lot on the details!. If you've been exercising significantly more, your body will naturally increase its metabolism causing you to eat more and also more often!. Another possibility is that if you have already started eating more often, your metabolism will also be higher!. It could be either or both!.

It is also possible that it's the medication!. SSRI's, when effective, will cause an improved mood, and often people with improved mental states will be more drawn to things that cause elevated mental states, such as eating!.

I think the more that you exercise, the more you'll have to change your diet!. If you it slightly more food, but much more frequently, you should be fine and not have to get used to anything!. The upside is that with increased exercise and frequency of eating, you will find it MUCH harder to gain any weight at all, almost regardless of what you're eating!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Couple things could be happening: the depression is getting better, which would help you start feeling interested in food again!. with depression, we ofter are not hungry!. also if you are exercising (good for you) that for sure will make you want to eat!.
In time it will level out!. Often times i keep Cheerio Baked Mix or Pretzels in my office to munch on between meals!.God Bless ReggieWww@Answer-Health@Com

yes!. upset stomach is a side effect of prozac, but do you take you pill with breakfast on on an empty stomach, try eating a few crackers with your pill!. if that doesnt help wait it out for a few weeks, most side effects go away in a month!.
but if your still having problems, go back to your doctor and tell them, the might change your pill, or just tell you what to do to make it not hurt!.
