My friend Aaron, 29 years old was a bartender in our small town with no health benefits (bartenders in the US never get insurance through work)
No one suspected he was sad but he shot himself a few weeks ago
If he would have had health insurance at his employment do you think maybe he would have went in for help!?

I don't know if having health insurance is a viable solution to stopping a suicide!. I have health insurance, but I can't afford to see a psychologist because of the co-payments and the time off work!. It sucks, because I really need to be seeing someone, but I can't!. I am sorry about your friend, depression is no fun, it sucks bad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Maybe yes, but maybe no!. While medical insurance for things like a sore throat are common, mental illnesses, even the serious ones, are often not covered at all!. That is one of the reasons for the "mental health parity" part of the bank bailout bill!. There is recognition that such inequity exists in health care, and now that mental health parity has passed, hopefully, everyone with medical insurance will now get the mental health coverage they need!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

All the time!.!.!. If I had health bennies I would have had my head examined 5 years ago, and i've been employed since I was 14 years old!. Thats 26 years of working!. Past 5 years I've been without health insurance!Www@Answer-Health@Com
