Is this related to my OCD or another mental illness?!

Question: Is this related to my OCD or another mental illness!?
I have severe ocd and I always feel dirty!. I feel physically dirty, but a lot of the time I feel "internally" dirty, if that makes any sense!. I have an immense fear of and morbid obsession with HIV/AIDS!. I always think that I'm infected or that something is after me trying to give it to me!. In health class the other day someone gave a presentation and I was very anxious!. Then the teacher told us that an AIDS specialist will be coming in!. And I just thought "that poor man!. I'm going to annoyt eh crap out of him"!. Anyway, I just always feel somehow dirty or infected, like I'm tainted with something!. Then I get even more upset because I start thinking about how no one would ever want me or want to be with me!. I also have borderline pd, schizotypal pd, depression, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, and body dysmorphic disorder!. The borderline makes me feel intensely angry at anything or anyone, and the schizotypal makes me feel inappropriately about things (like laughing at a disease or soemthing), and making me think I can make stuff happen with my mind!. It's all very confusing!. I was just wondering, do people with ocd feel dirty inside!? Or is it because of one of my other disorders!? I don't have sex, I don't do drugs or anything, but sometimes if there's blood somewhere (fresh or dried) I'm paranoid that I touched it and it got in a cut and it'll infect me!. Like with my brother, he somehow got blood on a q-tip and it was dark when I picked it up to throw them away!. Well, in the light I saw that there was blood but it was dried!. It may have been sitting for about 5 to 10 minutes before I touched it!. And he doesn't have anything, but I'm always paranoid that he does!. Or like when I got blood drawn, because the needles weren't in a package like I'm used to and were just capped, I'm paranoid that the nurse was trying to infect me, especially because she seemed/was acting like she didn't like me!. Is the feeling dirty part realted to my ocd!? Am I just completely paranoid!? Or do I have a right to be paranoid!? Do you think you can make yourself contract a deadly disease if you don't even put yourself at risk!? Can I make that happen with my mind!? Thanks for any help you can give me!. Sorry for all the questions!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
OCD is obsessive compulsive disorder (as you probably know) and you certainly seem to be obsessing about being "dirty!." So, that's pretty much a given!. But I also think you are paranoid!. I have OCD, and I used to obsess about people going to kidnap me / rape me / murder me / hurt me anytime I went anywhere!. It seriously was ruining my life, and I felt on edge and jumpy all the time!. People would actually come up behind me and terrify me because they thought it was funny!. It wasn't /: More or less, I was paranoid and suspicious of everyone!. I worked with my counselor and psychiatrist (I'm assuming you have one because of the other disorders you listed) and I got over it for the most part!. I'm still wary - like looking over my shoulder when I walk by myself!.

OCD and paranoia go hand in hand!.

Point being, you have a right to be paranoid, but to an extent!. There is nothing wrong with being familiar with dangers, but from your description, you are worrying way too much!.

If you don't put yourself at risk, you cannot magically get a deadly disease!. With your mind, you can reduce the risk of contracting something!. In other words, you can use your mind and make smart choices!. For example, for the HIV / AIDS, take precautions and you should be okay (: Your mind will not give you a deadly disease (:Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ok, there were a lot of questions in that question so I'm going to try to answer as many as I can!. Everyone suffers some slight to severe form of OCD!. If you've been diagnosed with these mental disorders, you may want to speak to your doctor about this paranoia!. It sounds to me like you could be a hypochondriac!. This means that you fear/feel paranoid about your personal health/sanitation!. I sometimes feel physically dirty!. Whenver a bug touches me, I take a shower!. I don't like bugs at all!. You cannot make yourself contract a deadly disease, although I think this is a common fear!. Whenver people learn about a new disease, they're usually cautious about things for a while afterwards!. You cannot make yourself contract AIDS mentally or physically unless you have sex with someone!. AIDS cannot last more than a few minutes outside the body (it's passed sexually because there's usually blood involved in sex, and groins are warm and dark)!. You can however, start feeling the signs and symptoms of AIDS if you continually think about it!. It's been proven in studies that men with pregnant wives begin to feel the symptoms of pregnancy (swollen/sore feet, backaches, morning sickness) because they were constantly thinking about it!. Because you feel this paranoia, I wouldn't hesitate to speak to your doctor about it!. Maybe there's some soothing and calming exercises they could provide to help squash your fears!. Hope this helps and good luck! I hope I answered most of your questions!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
