lol cymbalta is a great medicine for longer lasting sex!. as are all the anti depressants ive been on!. for me, Im able to ejaculate, but i can control it because the medicine de sensifies the penis somewhat, is what im guessing!. But i can make it last however long know what i mean!? so thats probably whats happening with your boyfriend!. Sex feels great, so he's probably just holding off until the right moment!. It is a common side effect with all anti depressants though!. if its bothersome though, get him on another one cuz not all medicines cause it!. i know for a fact LExapro caused WAY more of impact than cymbalta doesWww@Answer-Health@Com

This can be just as frustrating as not having any drive at all!. All that work, and no release! Geesh! My boyfriend and I both went through this at different times, and the only thing that I can say is wait it out!. It took me about a month before the blessed "release" finally happened!. Yes, most of it is chemical, but then after you can't for so long, it sort of becomes mental too!. Try to stay focused, and don't push too hard!. It's either going to happen or it's not!. There are a lot of things going on with the body chemistry when you start new meds, and sometimes it just needs time!. Another suggestion is for him to try on his own!. Being able to prove to yourself that your parts aren't broke helps with the pressure when another person is involved!. (This is what finally worked for me!.)

If, after a month, this is still happening, he might want to look into changing meds - but know that this issue will probably still be there for the next med, and the 1 month waiting game will start again!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

all the medications given for depression, or for mood-stabilizing and anti-psychosis (ie, for bipolar, or for depression, or for schyzoaffective disorder)!.!.all the pills they give screw with a man's sex drive (dampen it down)

abilify and risperidal are the worst, but they all do it, and the thing to do is to talk with the psych that prescribes these, and ask to try a pill that specifically does the least sex dampening

now, having said all that!.!.cymbalta is an anti-depressant!.!.so if (IF)thats the only medication he's on, then he should definitely be able to get an anti-depressant that doesnt give him any side effects that are too bad!.!.
