Question: What is the max mg Ativan goes up to!?
I've been prescribed 5mg of Ativan and was just wondering how high the mg goes up to!. What's the max mg!? like 30 mg!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've given Ativan up to 30mg per hour IV, but that was for patients who are going through serious DT's from alcohol withdrawal!. That much Ativan will kill a regular person!.
As a rule of thumb, take as little of the medication as you can that will still control your symptoms!. Ativan is addictive and when taken regularly, you have to take more and more of it to get the same effect!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you sure its not !.5 !? 0!.50 mg!? 5mg is WAY too much!.
Edit- okay haha!. thats better!. The biggest they make pills are Bars like xanax, or 2mg!. i used to take that 3 times a day!. but its addictive!. i really didnt find it as powerful as xanax though!. but im not allowed xanax anymore because i became addicted and overdosedWww@Answer-Health@Com

I'd recommend swtiching to Xanax!. ativan may as well be a placebo!Www@Answer-Health@Com

take what was prescribed to u do not go up in dose with out talking to ur doc first!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
