Sort of weird...breathing in too much?!

Question: Sort of weird!.!.!.breathing in too much!?
This may sound a little strange--but!.!.!.(I have anxiety) I have been stressed and a little snxious the past few weeks!. Yesterday I was paranoid about my breathing!. I think I was too aware of my breathing, and therefore thought I was having trouble breathing!? In any case, I took many deep breaths throughout the day- just because- I was anxious!. Today (and towards the end of the day yesterday) my chest feels tight!? I don't even know if tight is the best way to describe it- like I have taken way too many deep breaths and now the muscles are sore!? But not like the sore you get from a great workout!. Is this normal!? Am I being paranoid!? I'm a professional at spooking myself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think breathing is one of those things we can really get caught up on!.
This can become one of those vicious cycles where we worry about our breathing, then we breathe too much, then we worry!.!.!.etc!.
Be sure to breathe slowly!. Be sure to let out enough air to empty your lungs!. Sometimes it helps people to count to four slowly when they inhale and then count to four slowly when they exhale!. I hope you will be feeling better!. Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi Bear's Mom!.!.!.It is true that those of us with anxiety are hyper vigilant about the functions of our body's!. We tend to often scan our body for what is "wrong"!.

I do deep breathing regularly as a means of bringing down my anxiety and I have overdone and felt sore the next day!. We usually tell our members, when deep breathing to do only 10 at a time, then a cleansing breath, then breathe naturally for a time before doing more deep breaths!. If you practice this daily, it will help not to feel sore the next day!.

Give Bear a hug!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
