Question: Does anyone here have ADD!? I think I have ADD!.!.!.!?
How do you go about getting an official diagnosis!? I have loads of symptoms / signs!. Was hyper as a child, have the attention span of a gnat, and I have a few cousins and uncles with ADD!. So I think there's some genetic thing going on!.
Also, can anyone tell me what sort of assessments you get in an ADD diagnosis!? Just want to know what to expect!.

Sounds like you may have ADHD which is like ADD except it also has the hyperactivity with it!. I've been diagnosed w/ ADHD as a child!.
Well you can look online for a doctor who treats ADD/ADHD at your local hospital (most large hospitals have webistes) and you can make an appointment to be screened!.
At this screening they will ask you various questions to do w/ social skills and your issues w/ class work/job etc!.!.!.!. (lots of questions few hours worth)!.!.!. then most likely they will offer a placebo to see if you really need medication!.!.!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have ADD!. Actually its ADHD!. Ive had it and been diagnosed since I was about 6!. You ask your doctor (in my case my teachers brought it up that i was antsy and didn't focus to well) and they take you threw questions and kind of observe you!. Its kinda like a test were they ask you How long can you focus on this, Do you find yourself having allot of energy, kinda like that!. Then if it is bad enough they will put you on a medication that will help balance it out!. Its a chemical imbalance in the brain!. I have learned to control mine with out medication over the years but it is extremely hard!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have ADD too!. It was hard coping with it at first, but oh hey a bird outside!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
