Okay really serious question..how long can people stay up really?!


Question: Okay really serious question!.!.how long can people stay up really!?
i only ask this because i myself have stayed up 2 in a half days but not all the time just 3 times that all

and can staying up 2 in a half days harm me in any way!?

i have seen some people and they say they stayed up 2-3 days before and they're fine!.

but how do i know if they are telling the truth or not!.

and do not say " the longest a person stay up was 11 days" yeah yeah i know that

so if i stayed up for like 2 days well i like die or something am young 13 really and if am still young does this effect me less !?

or does it effect me more!?

I stayed awake for 5 straight days!. :p For the record, my thyroid was messed up and my hormones went nuts!. It took serious meds to put me to sleep!.

2 or 3 days won't kill you, if you were dead, you woudn't be on yahoo answers!. The problem is when someone stays up that long and tries to drive a car, or take a math test!.!.!.then there are consequences (you can actually "feel" fully alert and still go into micro sleeps behind the wheel!.!.!. that's when you wreck the car and kill people!.!.!.)

Not sleeping at 13 is bad!.!.!. your body is still growing, and it needs MORE sleep than most adults ( I think the necesary sleep for a teen is like, 9!.5 hours)!.!.!.!. you should get to bed!.!. If you really and truly can't sleep, get to a doctor so you can get some sleeping pills!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think its like 4 days but it depends on the person you wont die or anything but as you get older and you keep staying up you will get dark circles under your eyes and that donsent look good especiallly if your a girl ccuz girls care more aobut there apearences but its staying up all day if your staying up because you cant sleep then thats insomnia and you should talk to your parents about some sleeping pillsWww@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not sure how long people in general can stay up because i really think it depends on your body and situation, e!.g its probably easier for one stay up all night at a party than doing homework but i've personally had to stay up 2 days on like five different occasions doing homework and then going to school!. At the beginning i felt ok because i was running on caffeine and adrenaline but later during the day i started to feel really crappy, my stomach hurt, i couldn't concentrate, couldn't really hear what people were saying, got really cold and at one point i even started seeing things in a distorted way like my hand suddenly looked 5 times bigger!.!.!. but i'm only saying this to reassure you because as soon as i got a decent nights sleep i felt completely 100% fine so in case you're experiencing any similar symptoms don't worry because it's honestly just your body telling you it needs rest!. I think the fact that you're 13 will help you because you have more endurance and can recover from things quicker but definitely don't take this for granted to pull all nighters because you also need the most rest as you're growing up!. Just try to get sleep asap and avoid all nighters at all costs but i agree don't start with sleeping pills so if staying up is involuntary and due to insomnia, anxiety etc!. talk to a trusted adult
about the falling dream, i used to have those all the time, i think its just one of those dreams that everyone has like the being naked in public dream, probably has something to do with feeling insecure but its normalWww@Answer-Health@Com

First I must say: It's extremely dangerous to lose sleep!. One becomes unstable and many have left reality behind!. I'm one of them!. No joke!.

That aside: I first started learning ER doctors don't sleep like us in training!. They sleep for 2-3 hours at times and stay up for more than 24 hours!. This while their being taught in the ER and operating on patients in critical conditions!.

My point is, the body can take the abuse!. You decide when too much is enough!. Yet, doctors aside I've never seen a positive effect from staying up late!. Unless you're a poet, a musician, or a writer!. Staying up late helps artists of all types!.

It hurts anyone working with their physical bodies!. Like sports, drivers, etc!.

Philosophically one can learn a lot by not sleeping!. In exchange for your sanity!. Sleep and be normal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
