Question: I'm trying to fight depression; What are some things I can do to fight it!?
Answers:
1) Watch comedians on youtube!. My favourite is Christopher Titus!.

2) Watch motivational songs or music, movie scenes and speeches on youtube!. Is there a great uplifting music, then listen to it!.
3) Get some social interaction with stimulating conversations!.
4) Join a support group if you have one in your area!.
5) Smile on the outside when you see people!.
6) Take a warm bubble bath!.
7) Keep yourself busy and don't dwell on things that you cannot control!.
8) Run errands for people you love!.
9) Eat healthy and exercise!.
10) Remove and minimize stressors as much as possible!.
11) Break big tasks into smaller ones!.
12) Pay bills sooner and not at the last minute!.
13) Learn about yourself!. What is that motivates you!? or makes you feel good!?
For me, i like giving people advice on Yahoo Answers!. It keeps me going!. I also like getting a facial but i can't afford one without a job!.
14) Plan your week with activities that may interest you!. Don't worry if things don't go your way!. Just be patient!.
15) Keep a regular routine and stick with it!.
16) Force yourself to get up every morning, shower, change into new clothes and get out to work or school even if you don't want to!.
17) Join a yoga class if you can or some other exercise class that you might enjoy!.
18) Give up bad habits or bad relationships!. If you're holding onto bad vices, you're not helping yourself!.
19) Treat yourself with respect and don't be hard on yourself!. It's hard for other people to support you if you don't respect yourself!. Don't let anyone take advantage of you!.

What works for one person may not work another!. For example, some people journal their depression but that doesn't help me!. If you think it will help you, there are mental health websites which let you journal and get support from other suffers!.

Some people also find EFT helpful at times!. You can watch instructions on youtube, if you want to try that!.

Try to remember a time you were not depressed and figure out if you can recreate those feelings!. Neurolistic programming NLP teaches you how to recreate good feelings!. Information on NLP can be found by googling it but i don't think you can find it on youtube, though!. Many motivational coaches and counsellors take classes in NLP and get a certificate for it so I think that there might be some merit to it because why would they be proud to call themselves a certified NLP!. However, i can't afford to get a certificate but you can read up on what it is about!.

How I deal with depression is focus on the positive!.
Even if you can only find a small positive thing right now focus on that and grow from that!. Soon you will start to find more positive things!.
I focus on a positive thing that I feel is holding me back and do what I have to do to get beyond it!. Keep moving forward!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Being depressed is nothing but feeling sorry for yourself and giving up on life!. It's a choice and if you want things to get better, you have to look at things differently and choose to make the most of it!.

Don't beat yourself up for it!.Exercise can help!.!.!. it releases endorphins into the bloodstream!. Have a good jog or take a trip to the gym now and again!. Also chocolate!.!.!.its good for the heart and tends to heighten euphoria!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would advise you to speak with your doctor, not necessarily for medication, but they can often offer you helpful information on how to deal with depression!.
