Sexual side effects RARELY EVER go away while you are on the medication and may even get worse if your dosage is raised!. They do however go away once the medication has worked its way out of your system!. I suggest that you do not stop your medication and rather talk to your psychiatrist; he/she may be able to get you on another SSRI/MAOI or may give you something to combat the dysfunction (like viagra)!. I know it may seem embarrassing to discuss this with your doc but that is why they are there and have probably heard much worse!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it should go away after you stop treatment!. Sexual problems are very common with antidepressants for both men and women!. You may want to talk to your doctor about trying another drug or just putting up with the sexual frustration for the next 6 to 12 months (which is the usual course of treatment for someone with clinical depression since depression is very rarely a chronic illness)!. Unfortunately, this is one of the side effects to using SSRIs though sometimes this can be good!. I mean of course when it involves premature ejaculation in men!. If female, you might want to consider switching to Wellbutrin which has a better track record in this department!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
