Question: If i stop my medications will i go back to my normal weight!?
i weighed 198 before starting the seroquel, lexapro invega ativan xanax celexa and whatever else i was given in hospitals and such!. i am now at 223 after only being on them since April, 6 months!. If i stop my medications will i lose the weight it put on me!?
Im not stopping treatment, but i would like to try types of therapy instead of meds, or even ect!. anything but medicine!. The side effects of the pills is whats making me depressed, the main one is the weight gain!.
Yes i have talked to my doctors arleady about it and thats why i've been switched off all types of medicines!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am having the same problem with weight and meds!. I am up to 235 now and I am 6'1"!. A few years ago I was on 900mg of seroquel and I went on this hardcore diet of eating no refined sugar, no refined flour, and very little saturated fat!. I also ran and kept a food diary to make sure I was eating 2000 calories a day!. I started out with oatmeal with splenda, cinnamon, and apple!. Then the rest of the day it was fruit, veggies, and chicken breast!. I allowed myself a small 75 calorie piece of chocolate everyday!. No soda, no nothing sweet!. I used cinnamon and splenda on everything to get my sweet tooth fix and I used chipotles to get smokey good flavor of meat!. I got down to 160!. Then I got depressed and I don't give a crap if I am fat or not!. I am happy right now and I am eating fruit and one meal of good eats, but my point is you don't have to stop the meds to lose the weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes you will when you stop them suddenly you will loose your appetite and become a little unwell!. If you are serious about coming off your medication then you should go back to your doctor and let him bring your medication down to zero!.
However if he is not listening to you and will not change your medication although it is causing you more distress then come off them and then go and see him and tell him you have come off them, then he will have no alternative but to put you on something that does not coarse weight gain!.
