Answers:
I think it comes from abuse, I'm 19, I've suffered with this on and off for most of my life, and yeah, I had a pretty bad upbringing!. I also have a friend who had the same kind of childhood as I did, and she also experiences things like this!. And trying to explain what it feels like is quite hard!. Nothing feels real when you're experiencing it!. Everything that used to feel familiar will suddenly feel as though it never existed in the first place or it's the first time you've ever come into contact with it!. Same goes for family members and friends and places, too, any aspect of your life starts to feel kind of foreign and unreal!. It's just like, imagine nothing ever existed to begin with, and we weren't around to know such a thing, and then suddenly, you appear in this world!. It feels like that!. You can't feel emotion about anything, either, because it kinda feels like even your emotions over something are weird and unreal!. You also don't feel like you are "you", or your life is even yours, like you're watching from somewhere and controlling everything you do from a distance!. There's more I could say, but yeah, that's the gist of it!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depersonalization disorder is a relatively new catch all for the MH industry -basically you are so overwhelmed you shut down your emotions and distance yourself from everything and everyone -not a good way to go through life -I speak from experience !.Not so much stress induced as years of abuse of some kind -two choices here -go to a quack and get drugged up or deal with the situation through another outlet -for me it was lifting weights -I would remember all the horror and just hit the weights that much harder -try running or swimming if you are female since most girls really don't like throwing iron around !.Find a nice tai chi class or yoga may benefit you !.Www@Answer-Health@Com
