In one way or another, depression affect love life because it affects the mentality and point of view in life!. It can make you pessimistic and cynical, and makes you believe "It's just another jerk" or "This relationship won't last"
Also, depression can make people feel empty, so empty that there's no 'excitement' or interest in anything in life, including love!. It make people think 'so what if I fall in love!?" The person won't see any good in things, including love that's why they will lose interest, and don't believe in love!.
So even with the best guy, there's no use because the other person does not see anything good in the relationship/life/love/the guy!.
If a person is depressed, the person has no will to live, to to mention having the will to love!.
