Uncontrollabe tears/crying.?!

Question: Uncontrollabe tears/crying!.!?
Sometimes I just get really teary-eyed, and can't help it!. It's not always due to sad situations, it can be happy things too!. Sometimes it can happen even when I feel no emotion, but then the tears lead onto sadness and crying even more!. It happens when watching a film, or juat about anything on TV!. And music, sometimes even if it is upbeat!. And large social gatherings; I end up sitting alone away from everyone and the tears start!.

A couple of months ago we went to holiday to Canada!. And whenever I tried to speak to someone, the tears kept coming, and my throat would dry up, and I couldn't speak!. I didn't want anyone to notice!. But it was extremely difficult to hide!.

I just watched a woman giving birth and dying on TV, and this just spurred it on once again!. And I cried for at least two minutes!.

There have even been some nights on which I've been unable to sleep for hours bebecausef this uncontrollable crying, spurred on by bad thoughts!.

And it's not just recent, I remember being at school about five years ago, and the tears started just before a drama performance!.!. It was hell!. There have been other moments too!.

So yeah, it's not always related to emotions; but sometimes I can't help myself!. And going to see a doctor about it will just make me feel like an idiot, because he's already had to send me counselling (which I couldn't go to, due to anxiety/nervousness)!. So ugh!. Is there anything I can use to help with this problem!? It gets really annoying, and I hate having to explain what's wrong to people who notice, because I seriously don't know!

Sorry for writing so much!. Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had the same prob a couple years ago, you may be Manic Depressive!. I forced my self to go to the doctors because I wasn't getting any better trying to help myself--I had a panic attack in the waiting room but now looking back it was all worth it, doctor's, psychiatrist, Crying uncontrollably on my friends chest, all of it!. You need to see a doctor, maybe a different one if you can't go back, then do what he says, and seek out counseling! It helps as for medication Anti-Depressants really didn't help me at all, since I was suicidal and it just made it alot worse!. Medication works wonders from some people and for others not so well--so you may have to try that out, it takes personal experience for you to know!. And it'll take a while it's not going to be an automatic cure, so patience! I know it may be embarrassing for you and you may feel ashamed, especially if you go on medication--the thing is no one needs to know you are on the Meds, I only told my Really close friends and family and they we're all fine with it!. It was because of them and my psychiatrist that I got through it all and I hope you do too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have something from your childhood that is burried in your subconscience!. Some kind of trauma or disturbance that had done some psychological effects on you!. Your grief is than burried with it, it oozes out whenever some things in life stir the sentiment part of your senses!. Therefore, the uncontrollable crying and tears!.

It could also be some other medical problems that you really should explore with your counsellor!. If you have anxiety problems, that is another sign that counselling is what you need to overcome these uncontrollable reactions!.

You have to release past hurt to function!. Sometimes, it takes a long time to heal and the more you try and supress them, it gets worse as you get older!. Think of the consequences, if you don't go to counselling now, you may not be able to do alot of things that is going to make you feel good and happy in the future!.

For example, loose the man that is going to be perfect for you due to anxiety!. Not getting the job because you are nervous at the interview!. Be a laughing stock when you breakdown in front of people (people can be very insensitive in the real world)!.

Your counsellor is there to help you overcome all these problems, why not get help before it's too late!. We are by no means qualified to help you in anyway!.

Finally, you have to decide if you want a "better" life than the one you are leading yourself to right now!.

All the best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sorry to tell you this, but uncontrollable crying, over emotional, bad thoughts and/or racing thoughts are all symptoms of bipolar disorder-depressive type!.

I am not sure how old you are, but it sounds like you are in your early 20's, in which case you need to get yourself to a PSYCHIATRIST, not a therapist!. A therapist will work, however you need to be stable enough to actually sit there and talk, which it doesn't sound like you can do at the moment!.

Chances are you need a mood stabilizer, probably lamictal, and I think you will be on the right track to going on with your life!.

If you are the type of person not willing to take medications, then you will have to deal with things the way they are with no hopes of improvement, and you will also be calling off a lot no matter what type of job you get!.

Bottom line, get yourself to a psychiatrist, get stable on a medication, then get therapy!. It's possible you may be able to get off the medication within a year or so, and that therapy is all you need, but you need to be able to do the therapy first, so take my advice and get to a psychiatrist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
