Question about counseling..?!

Question: Question about counseling!.!.!?
Is counseling twice a week for 6 months then once a week after the 6 months too much!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
No, I wouldn't say so!. I know of 4 main reasons people get into cutting, and all 4 can be tricky problems to unravel!. Your counselor will need time to get at the root of why you did it, and also need time to teach you POSITIVE ways to cope with stress to replace cutting completely!.

It's never enough to try and stop a bad habit!. You have to find a good habit that fills the same need and does it better!.

Also, depending on how long and how often you did it, I've known cutters who became physically addicted to the rush that comes after any great pain!. A physical addiction takes time to break as well!.

So go to every session, read up on ways to cope with stress on your own, and if you need help let me know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would think twice a week for 6 months a bit dominating!. It would not really give you much time to reflect on the discourse!. Maybe occasionally once a week, but then I would think two weeks with the option to occasionally shorten it back to weekly would be heaps!. I don't know what you would have to talk about on a more frequent basis, but then I don't believe in going through every thought or memory!. I think once the flavor of your experiences are out in the open its trying to drill down to what are the fundamental costs to you as a person of those experiences and then seeing if there is a way to chart a course out of that place!.!. no guarantees

Depending on what issues you are working on, counselling is normally only for one hour and i feel that you can not sort big issues that quick!.

Make sure that at every counselling session you have a goal to work through and stick to itWww@Answer-Health@Com

Not if you feel you need it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
