Anyone know anything about mental hospitals?!

i used to work in one - they can't keep you in a mental hospital (in the UK anyway) unless you are either:-

A danger to others, or!.!.!.

A danger to yourself!.

They like to keep you tied to a bed nonstop for weeks on end for no good reason!. It makes them feel powerful!. And they know you hate it and they like that!. There is no toilet in there either, and besides you're tied up anyway even if there was!. You go all over yourself in there!. Can't brush your teeth, don't bring you food for six days and claim that you refused food when you were screaming your head off for food in there!. If you have no history of hurting yourself physically they will do it!. If they think you're gonna hurt yourself pretty bad in there then they won't tie you up until after you're done hurting yourself!. I know because I've been in about 9 mental hospitals!. I have been in Western State residential, all sorts of places!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

She can keep you there but she would have to go to court and switch you to an adult facility

i have been too one and it was actually fun/ different
read the book impulse by ellen hopkins to get a feel of a psych ward!.

it sucks!. it was the most horrible place i've ever been and honestly, never before were my disorders so strong as when i was in that hell!. in no way did it help me!. i did everything to pretend i was better so that i could go home!.!.

It's a lock down, not fun! You can be released at 18 at which time you can be picked up for being 50/50 (crazy) and go to an adult facility, also not fun!Www@Answer-Health@Com
