Question: I can't communicate with people and thus have no social life!. How do I fix this!?
I'm an 18 year old guy in college, and every time I have a conversation, I consciously think of what I'm going to say next, rather than just listening to the person and expanding on what they say!.My conversations aren't natural liked they used to be 5 years ago!. I don't know how I got into this state of mind!. I do ask questions to make people talk about themselves and listen more than talk, but still I feel like I have no personality since I never am able to form an opinion in my mind!. It's like something has been shut off in my mind for years!. And, recently at work, this girl and I expressed our love for each other, but it's been 1 month and I just stopped talking to her because I know I can't have a conversation with her and keep her satisfied!.
I've felt depressed about this for years, I can't make new real friends or love partners!. I have a cell phone and noone ever calls me, unless I call them and try to have a conversation, but once again I just become silent!. Anything I can read (not Dale Carnegie) or any advice you guys can give me!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You're the same as me!. I've felt the same way for a little over a year now!. I'm a junior in college and I can't talk to anyone!. I'm probably depressed for reasons different from your own but I know it doesn't get better by itself!. I've wasted my life in college and I hate it!. I recommend going to your school's health services center!. It's free for students!. Please get checked out!. Who knows, maybe they can help!. It's better than feeling this way!.
