no from personal experience i can safely say that no-one can help someone abstain from drug addiction except the person abusing the drug, this particular person you're referring to won't take heed to any advice until he/she is willing to do it for themselves!.but u can still be supportive, not of their habit but!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I am afraid there is no easy answer!. First they have to accept that they have a problem, you can't do that for them!.
They then need to have sufficient motivation to stop that they wish to seek help!.
They need to approach their doctor from referral to the local community addiction team!.
They will then need all your help and support to stay with the program, without cheating!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i am not sure about medication for weening a person off of cocaine but its worth finding out!.
However the user must want to stop otherwise they wont seek help or complete programmes designed to help!.
Personally i would be tough with the person,!. You may not want to and it may be hard and upsetting but the user must see the effect on themselves as well as others!.

it really depends how much his body is dependent off of them cause my friend tried it once and now hell i dont even think he's gonna live long he spends his pay on it he hasnt been home in 3wks i think he robs now cause he gave me 70 bucks in gas for a ride and he has major anger issues and this kid is bad all i really have to say is do what you can till you know you can no longer do anything any more you dont wanna live with that regret of not doing anything good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
there is a new med still in development stages in the u!.s!. that blocks the effect of coke on the body, like naltrexone does with the effect of heroin!. however the person has to want to stop using!. i'm sorry but there is no easy answer, a person will have their own reasons for their addictive behaviours and it takes time motivation and energy for them to explore and understand them!. if they want to stop using then yeah the g!.p is your first stop, they will be able to get you in contact with your local drug and alcohol action team who can walk you thru available treatments!. but if the person doesnt want to stop all you can do is support them!. it is a hard line to walk, keeping enough distance while still being present in their life enough for them to know you care and are their friend!. if you arent using with them you will be outside thier using circle and it will be difficult for you, if you are using with them then you prob cant say much that they'll listen to and you will just have to wait til they're ready to stop!.

If I was you,I would bind him,and call the ambulance and police (EVEN IF HE WAS MY GIRLFREND/BOYFRIEND,I AM A BOY!! so girlfriend for now,and then after that ,they will handle him,but you know,cocain !.!.!.after u go to ambulance,police,DRUG CLINIC,then!.!.there is 40% chance he may get Amnesia!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You can't help them unless they want help!. If it's a family member, try and intervention with family!. If it is a friend, just cut ties with them, you can't make them get help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

What's the problem - too much coke or not enough!? If the person's problem is too much cocaine maybe you could snort it for him or her!. If there's too little make some calls!.
