I want to know if this will ever go away?!
Question: I want to know if this will ever go away!?
I have convinced myself I have an incurable disease!. Even though it is very irrational,I have no control over it and I obsess over it until I am so anxious and depressed I can't be by myself!.
I went to the doctor yesterday,where they told me everything was fine!.!.and will give me the results of the pap smear in about a week!. That makes me feel relieved,because if I had had something wrong!.!.they could have seen it!.
The only problem is!.!.I *know* I will be okay in my mind,but since I have already convinced myself that I have some kind of disease,I feel that it will be an uphill battle to get this out of my mind!.
I have an appointment with a psychiatrist in a few weeks,should I go!?
Will this go away on it's own or will I continually worry!?
I have thought about suicide repeatedly and it seems to sometimes be the only way out of this!. I can't deal with worrying about this everyday,and even though people tell me to get it out of my head,I imagine the worst,and I have absolutely NO control over it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Honey from a totally personal standpoint, I say you should definitely go to the psychiatrist!. There are definite chemical problems you can have where you do not have control over your emotions, rational or otherwise!. They can give you medicine if needed to help with this!. My sister-in-law is the same way!. She knows she does and feels irrational sometimes, but she can't stop it!. She seems to do much better with her medication!. Also honey suicide is never the solution and trying not be harsh but honest I will also say that suicide is very selfish!. Think about your family and friends and what that would do to them!.
