Question: Should I tell my doctors that I abused drugs in the past!?
I used Ecstasy, Cocaine and I smoked a lot of weed for a long time!. I've been clean for 3 years now!. Should I still make my doctors aware of the drugs I used or no!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Perhaps the ecstasy , if the symptoms you have are related to depression or serotonin!.
Cocaine , only if you were a hard and long user!.
Although doctors for the most part don't care what you've done !. They just want the help to diagnose !. They won't rat you out to the police ,if that's what you are worried about!.
I used to drink pretty hard , and that is a major factor when determining the course of treatment for several of my ailments!. I'd be doing myself a disservice by omitting that info!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Definitely do!. You wouldn't expect a mechanic to repair your car properly if you didn't tell him all of what was not working well!.
A physician needs to know the whole story, not just to arrive at a correct diagnosis, but also to prescribe the best treatment!. Past drug use, even minimal, can affect choice of treatment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You could, by law they can't share the information!. But if you haven't used drugs in 3 years then nothing is in your system to hinder another drug that may be prescribed!. That's really the only reason they ask!.

Yes, you should, if you have to have surgery in the future, this could BADLY affect your health and something could happen if they inject you with something, or perform something on you,
