See your doctor and find out if there is an Mental Health Mental Retardation (MHMR) program in your area!. I lost my insurance when I got divorced and MHMR paid for my psychiatric consultations and my medications and didn't cost me anything!. They do ask for payment on a sliding scale, according to your income, but if you qualify, it is free!. Your records would be transferred to the MHMR doctor (after you sign a release), and you would go from there!. If there is no MHMR program in your area, your doctor will be able to advise you of county help programs, charities, and some churches even have funds set aside for just these kinds of circumstances!. There is always a waiting list to get on the MHMR program!. Do this as soon as possible so you aren't out of meds at all, or at least for too long!. Get a 3 month supply prescribed while you still have insurance to be sure you are okay while waiting for a new help source!. Take care!.
