OMG! Celexa made me SOOO sick I had diareha like crazy!. I felt dizzy, naseous and just plan sick and I ate like crazy even though I felt gross!. I am bipolar and my Dr wanted to add to to the med I was on big mistake!. It is in the same class as prozac so if you have tried prozac it is just like that!. I gained at least 10 pounds on it!. I couldn't wait to get off of it and got thrown on lexapro soon after don't try that either I had diareha all day and I barely ate and I still gained weight gained 15 pounds in a week!. My son has been on it for around 2 months now and it is great! No side effects that we have noticed except dizziness which they said would go away in time!. (he was getting dizzy also before he started so we are not sure if that has wore off yet, he is recovering from cancer and that is something that has been going on for a while now) So, I say it is great! He is not sleeping all the time like he was, he is eating better, he is seeing his friends, he is not feeling like killing his self, he is happy for the first time in a long time! Everyone has made comments that he has been in a better mood than they have ever saw him!. Good luck with it, if you decide to take it!. (oh, he is 17 and takes 20 mg)

i took it for a year!. it didn't work!. i kept telling my dr and all she did was increase my dosage!. it actually had the opposite effect and i attempted suicideWww@Answer-Health@Com
