What do you think!? I'm not sure what came first, my depression due to my ignoring of my sexual preference but not realizing it, or my medication I take for depression altering my brain to be attracted to the same sex!?
I guess I'd also like to know how many people who are attracted to the same sex take depression medication!?
That sounds confusing!.!.!. I'm attracted to women now, but is it due to the medication I'm taking for depression which is a mind altering drug, or!.!. did I become depressed due not admitting my preference or realizing that was even the situation!?

Answers:
ooo interesting question!.
I think you're meds have maybe encouraged you or 'freed' you a bit and you may have been trying to ignore these gay thoughts or feelings in the past!.
You are now probably ready and confident enough to act on your feelings instead of burring them away because you couldn't deal with them before!.
Can you ever remember having any feelings towards women ever!? even back at school!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Fact is they are probably related issues!. However, I don't think the medication is causing you to have homosexual feelings!. If that were the case then millions of people would be experiencing that after starting meds for depression unrelated to homosexual desires!. Your probably depressed about feeling "different!."Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, the meds are not causing the sexual preference!. I think the best thing you can do is find a psychologist in your area that can help you deal with your sexuality!. It's nothing to be ashamed of or try to control!. Once you get a hold of that issue, the depression might clear away as well!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had depression for two and a half years in highschool and!.!.!. I didn't take antidepressants (Zoloft) till I graduated 06!. That year I found out I was attracted to both sexes (bisexual)!. Yet looking back, before my depression, I didn't think much about sex at all really, yet my friends say I was affectionate with everyone (both sexes) so!.!.!.

I think it might simply make you aware of something that was already there!. At least it did in my case since I didn't even want to think about sex or even kissing much during my depression!.

I was only on Zoloft for a few months and haven't touched Antidepressants for over two years but I'm still attracted to both!. If that helps!.

It probably doesn't cause each other but it might make you more aware if you didn't think about sex or consider certain possibilities due to your depression and feeling low!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

LOL, why do you think anyone on Yahoo Answers is going to know!?

Edit --- Sorry, I didn't mean to sound insensitive!. I just think that your psychiatrist or whoever prescribed the medication will be able to give you a better answer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
