If by anxiety you mean stress then yes, anxiety can cause schizophrenia!. Obviously, some people are already predisposed but if there's enough of it anyone can develop schizophrenia!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Schizophrenics can suffer with anxiety as a secondary emotion, thats all
Anxiety can cause nothing but more anxiety, and it can feel like you are losing your mind, it can cause depersonalization and derealization whcih feels like you are a nutter but its just from the excess adrenaline and its a coping mechanism for the brain from too much stimuli!.
Shizophrenia is being detached from reality and being unaware of things, anxiety disorders are being TOO connected to reality and excessively aware!. They are polar opposites!. So there is nothing to research!.

Schizophrenia isn't CAUSED by anxiety, but anxiety can certainly onset underlying schizophrenic behaviors!.
Schizophrenia is believed to be genetic and onset by a traumatic event (in which case anxiety would be present)

Schizophrenia is a diease all of its own!. It is for the most part genetic and part of how the brain functions!. Schizophrenics donot always present the same way!. Some present with more depression or more anixiety making it more of a schizo-affective disorder!. There are many types of schizophrenic disorders!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
