She lies alot and always makes her situation worse than it is, i!.e she was having a problem with another women that end up in court!. She persisted she was going to prison and telling her young kids this too, they were so upset by it but there was no way she was going to prison for a domestic dispute!. Has manic depression but sometimes so happy its almost scary!. her behavior is not normal in the slightest and it seems to me that she likes the attention of it all!. she makes such a huge thing out of situations and does not let things go, she fixates on what has gone wrong but dont move on!. she says her kids are going into care but they never do and she always asks for a drugs test to prove she dont do drugs but she does do them!. she has completely lost the plot and people have mention bipolar!. I think she really could have it!. I am not kidding when i say her behavior is erratic!. What do you think!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
From what you said it does not sound like bipolar disorder!. It sounds like a personality disorder!.
Check out borderline personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder!. Personality disorders do have a few things in common- complete lack of regard of other people, they lie, cheat, steal, manipulate etc!. to get what they want and don't care about the consequences and they have a long line of ruined friendships and burned bridges!. The sad part is that they almost never seek help and when they are forced into it by the courts they are able to manipulate the therapist!. There are no known treatments that work successfully in those who have personality disorders!. The best they can do is try to prescribe medications to stabilize moods to try to get them to be a little more predictable!. Predictably, the people with personality disorders rarely stay on the medications, blame the therapist for all their problems, and tell the world that they were stupid for making them go there in the first place!. Nothing is ever their fault!.

Anyway, I would urge you to run away from her as fast as you can!. If she's in this much trouble then she can only drag you down with her!. It's sad but perhaps she'll try to seek help if she realizes that the world will not put up with her behavior!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

You havent said anything that sounds like bipolar to me!. Sounds more like a personality disorder like borderline or such!. But then again only can go of what you said!.

I have bipolar!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes it sounds like she is!. I have had bipolar since 17 so I know how bad it can get!. She needs to get to a DR!. Maybe you can coax her when she is depressed because when shes manic she will feel like nothing is wrong thats at least how I feel!. You as her friend need to help her anyway you can because its only going to get worse over time she needs to be there for her kids!. I hope things get better!.

If you want to compare her to this you can too!.

In the manic phase:

* Euphoria or irritability
* Excessive talk; racing thoughts
* Inflated self-esteem
* Unusual energy; less need for sleep
* Impulsiveness, a reckless pursuit of gratification -- shopping sprees, impetuous travel, more and sometimes promiscuous sex, high-risk business investments, fast driving
* Hallucinations and or delusions (in cases of bipolar disorder with psychotic features)

In the depressive phase:

* Depressed mood and low self-esteem
* Low energy levels and apathy
* Sadness, loneliness, helplessness, guilt
* Slow speech, fatigue, and poor coordination
* Insomnia or oversleeping
* Suicidal thoughts and feelings
* Poor concentration
* Lack of interest or pleasure in usual activities

If any of those sound like her and a lot of them do as I said please get her to a DR if you can soon before it gets really bad!.
