well when after i had the baby i had post partum depression and well they had me on paxil and well i felt emition less all i felt was happy when i was sad i never felt sad is it in my head or is it the drugs i have been off it for two to three weeks soo i need to know!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Postpartum depression is a reall illness caused by the hormonal fluctuations you experience after giving birth!. It can be mild or serious enough to cause psychosis!.
Psychotropic medications like Paxil and Lexapro generally take a long time to build up in your system enough to feel the effects-- sometimes as long as 8 weeks!. By the same token, they also take a long time to get out of your system!.
It is quite common to have to try different medications, dosages, or combinations of medications to find the one that works for you!. Sometimes it just trial and error!.
Postpartum depression is not permanent!. Once your body gets back to normal, you probably will not need the medication any more, unless you had depression before you were pregnant!.
