Have you tried snapping rubber bands on your wrist!? It's safer because there is no open wound, but still hurts like h*** if you do it hard enough!.

If the blood is more your thing, get some food coloring and drip it in your bathroom sink!. It looks like blood swirling down the drain!. Drop some on your wrist where you snapped the rubber band!. It may help to get you past the moment!. Best of luck to you!.!.!. it's a tough road to travel!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cutting yourself!? I can't understand, is it that you like to inflict pain on yourself to get rid of other emotional feelings!? If so, maybe a strenuous work out on your muscles would be as effective!. Go to a gym and get a trainer to help because you can injure yourself doing too much at one time!. But you will be so sore that this form of treatment may or would keep you from inflicting pain the wrong way!. Also learn to run or jog for a natural high!. This may help you feel better, I don't know what your feeling and why you may have to do this to yourself!. I hope this helps, good luck with treatment!.!.!.Oh yea, find a support friend that understands you and keep in phone contact at all times!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cutting generates endORPHINS, which, like opiates such as heroin (diacetyl mORPHINe), make you feel better, but are just as addictive, and you develop tolerance to them, needing to cut more, and deeper, later on, just to get the same effect!.

Later in life, most self harmers realise that it is not an effective solution to their problems, and then they are faced with a mass of unsightly scar tissue, which they find difficult to explain, and which can hold them back in their social lives, and careers!.

From your therapy, learn to address the causes of your problems, rather than coping with the symptoms!. View the extensive information on self harm, in section 16, at http://www!.ezy-build!.net!.nz/~shaneris and learn some alternatives, and contact the hotlines, chatsites, or forums, when you feel the need to harm yourself!.
