You would need to be assessed by a psychiatrist to make a diagnosis and decide on the most appropriate treatment!.
Your GP can refer you or you can ring NHS Direct on: 08454647
to see if there is a mental health drop-in centre where you can go without a referral!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes of course,go to your gp,she should refer you to a community mental health team also and then they can refer you to a counsellor,that's if you wish to be refereed to a community mental health team -i go to one and you can get a lot of help from them,ie see nurses,psychiatrists,doctors,occupationa!.!.!. therapists,who ever they feel could help you the most -and also ask that you feel you would like to see a counsellor

I think it does depend on the severity of the condition - if it's minor they won't do anything on the NHS - but it if it was so bad where it was ruining your life (well, maybe not ruining; lol) then they would!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
