Question: Would people/society be more understanding to a female or male for exhibitionsim !?

Exhibitionism can mean several different things!.
Well according to Wikipedia, it essentially implies a psychological need to your body to another person!. This usually means "private parts" but doesn't ALWAYS!.
(Am I to assume you are an exhibitionist!? I will for sake of argument)
The answer kind of depends on what "people/society" happens to be!. And while it might be morally and or intellectually shallow, it also depends on who the exhibitionist is!.
A male could probably understand whatever sense of excitement you could have at someone reacting to your body!.!.!. i!.e!. A woman flashing her breasts I think a greater percentage of society would understand, whereas a man flashing his penis with no warning or provocation whatsoever, is almost universally "indecent exposure"!.
What I'm saying is, I think it would be more understandable for a female then a male, but a significant portion of me saying that is my own bias!.
I don't mean to be vulgar here, but to put it bluntly, I don't know why a man would want me to see his junk, but I know I would be a bit bothered if he thought I did!.
If you wanted my "understanding" personally, I think that exhibitionism isn't really that black and white!. For example,
Let us suppose my girlfriend tells me she is an exhibitionist and asks me if I'm okay with that!. Well if that means she enjoys it when someone reacts to her exposing herself, I would feel a little tense but that's "understandable", I'm not going to lie and say I probably wouldn't enjoy getting the same reaction myself from the opposite sex!. (women, but I'm no exhibitionist)!.
But if she does it because she likes the thought of random guys wanting to have sex with her, that would be much more likely to cause a sense of jealousy, and I'm sure some people would see that as well, "slutty" behavior!.
Keep in mind though, that is just the thoughts of if we were talking about "my girlfriend"!.
But honestly I have to say that just in general, exhibitionism just seems like egotism to me, and I generally do not like playing into another person's ego!.
And finally, I have to say that yes, I do believe it is "unfair" that women are far more easily forgiven in this regard then men, but a lot of it has to do with where and how exhibitionism is expressed!.
