It is generally believed that one of the primary causes of anxiety of any kind is the temporary loss of control of a situation!. The quickest way to regain your peace of mind and lose the anxiety you are feeling is to get back in control of things, somehow!. I do not believe there is a best way!. Letting go of it is one of the better ways!. My family doctor told me when you are experiencing anxiety stop inside yourself for a moment and closely observe your surroundings!. You will not find anything dangerous in them and that will help you to calm down a lot!. It will tell your body it is safe!. That precious sense of SAFETY is what helps people suffering from P!.T!.S!.D!. Safety is sooo important!.

You will find ways on your own which will help you tremendously, and you probably have already found some ways that will work for you!. Watching your caffeine quotient is a quick way to calm down a lot!. I limit myself to two cups of coffee a day now!. That is under my quotient of what will bring on the crazies (anxious feelings), so that was a big one when I found it!. Most of my anxiety is connected to making poor choices of what I eat just before going to bed!. Can you imagine something so foolish!? I get "ambushed" around three in the morning, waking up feeling anxious, and what it really is is indigestion, but anxiety and indigestion sometimes feel exactly the same, so keep that in the back of your mind, too!. But that's just me!. I have found that talking with someone when you are feeling really upset and anxious can help a lot, also!. Someone who understands you and will be there for you helps you to center again very quickly!. They put you back in touch with the "calm you!."

You can go for therapy and even ask about having certain help with medication prescribed by your physician, but I would have you find ways on your own!. Those you will remember, they will mostly be completely natural ways to change your focus, and because you found them on your own, they will last!. Change your focus of attention is yet another way to reclaim control of the situation which is upsetting you!. Remember "Get my mind on something else!." Remember that sentence!. There's no best way!. Everyones different!. I say one of the better ways is to see a therapist and they are trained to find what works best for you!. Its hard I been dealing with it for 7 yrs!. Its hard!. I beat it once!. Now back to square one!. Probally will deal with it off and on the rest of our lives!. I live again 24/7 anxeious!. I feel my chest tight and breaths short all day!. I know what you feel!. The best way for me b4 was to welcome the attacks on!. They can't hurt u just scare u!. Go to the places that gave me the attacks!. When I have them there my brain realizes there's nothing to fear!. But that's the hardest way to treat it cuz its hard to go to the spots that u know will make u panic!. Good luck!. Review your life and see what interfers with calm , steady forward movement !.

Probably also help to reduce caffeine and other stimulants ,
Try yoga and other body relaxation exercises ,
Eat calming foods , warm soups , mac & cheese etc !.
