I have, I had my first panic attack at the age of seven, whew that was scary!. Any how I battled my generalized anxiety disorder for about three years along with the help of my councilor and my psychiatrist!. As you can imagine because of my young age they did not want to put me on medication if they didn't have to, so we tried pretty much everything out there for panic attacks and anxiety!. I tried the Lucinda Basset tapes, i tried herbs that were mood stabilizers, I tried meditation, I tries diet and exercise, I even tried hypnotherapy!. None of them worked for me, so they had no choice but to put me on paxil, It helped me so much and got me my life back!. However I have heard it has helped many people, on of my best friends in high school had anxiety issues and she tried the tapes and they worked great for her! I guess it depends on the severity of your problem, my GAD is very severe, with a underling problem from when I was 5, my friends was different!.
