My friend picks his knuckles until they bleed!. Has anyone ever heard of this!? Is it stress related!? How will he stop!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

That may be a sign of Dermatillomania, which is an Impulse Control Disorder and part of the OCD spectrum of disorders!. Anxiety can indeed be a trigger!. For people with this disorder, the act of knuckle picking relieves the anxiety!.

i do the same thing, it relieves very little stress, its hurting yourself, but in a way, it distracts you from all the depression that you think about, i pick my knuckles all the time, i even punch an old brick wall until my knuckles bleed and pick at themWww@Answer-Health@Com
