How to deal with this kid's emotional/psychological issues?!

Question: How to deal with this kid's emotional/psychological issues!?
I entered a chat, yes a chat, around 8pm EST!. And this kid went from a very energetic type of mood, to a very depressed mood!.

Yes, I know it's a chat, and people can pretend!. But he was asking me medical questions at first, very cheery!. Then he asked psychological questions pertaining to schizophrenia!. I gave him the information I knew and he asked about having the symptoms but not telling anyone!.
I asked him some personal questions, got some VERY personal answers!.
I am worried if I leave the chatroom and stop talking to him, he could do something drastic!. He admitted to cutting and prior suicide attempts!.

He could be lying, could be telling the truth!. I don't think I could prepare myself if I left and he wasn't lying!.

Any helpful advice would be appreciated!.
I emailed my state's psychologist already for advice!.

But this kid is all over the place, I feel like he would do something regretful!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
As much as you desire to help this "kid"
it may be in your best interest to realize he needs to help himself!.

If possible, you might help him to form a plan of where or how to access the help he needs - phone numbers, etc!.
But - you have got to leave it at that - & pray for him!.

Looking at the other side - let's say you get emotionally tied to rescuing this fellow - then he in his sick mind will start to "play with your mind", and manipulate your behavior, playing the game that you need to do ___ or I will kill myself!. You'll have my blood on your hands!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the eprson who answered first sucks!
you did the right thing!. you may want to find this child again on the chat room and ry to talk more with him!. he probally feels like no one cares!. but there are those who do!. and maybe that would be you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
