I have a friend (yes!. a friend!. not me!. I'm already in recovery)
and she's trying to tell her family!. but her eating disorder ana (in treatment its best to think of it as a separate person) wont let her!. she wants to tell them that she needs help!. but she keeps chickening out!. I told her I would help her as much as I can w/o putting myself in jeopardy again!.
can you help us brainstorm some ideas about how to tell her familyWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Write them a letter, then she can say exactly what she wants with no interuptiopns, and they can have as much time to take in what she has told them!.!.!. She should put in the letter that when they feel ready she would like them to talk to her about it and about how they can help her!.

I think that would be a good way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tell her to go to her family doctor!. Go with her!. The doctor may be able to give her the best advice on how to tell he family as well as get her on the right path to recovery!. Her doctor may even agree to come by her house to help her explain it to the family!. If professional is there and can explain it to them in a way thy are not blaming her, they all may feel better about it!. You'd be suprised at what doctors will do to help people that really need it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Okay!.
She has complete control over her mind, she's just lost it!.
Ana needs to let go, and treatment would help that!. One thing your friend cam do is leave subtle notes or hints, such as leaving a page about coping with eating disorders running on her computer!.
Or she could ask her doctor to explain it to her family!.
There are various ways to do this, and I sincerely hope that she regains control of the mind!.

she needs to say that she really would appreciate it if she had their support w/ something!. she would then say that she really wants their help so that she can get better and be healthy again and that if they get mad it will only discourage her!. she needs to say that they are the only way she can get through it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Find a reason to go to the doctor and tell her or him!.
The doctor can handle much of the conversation!.
And if this sounds sneaky, think about it- she needs a doctor, and she's being an adult by going for help herslef, right!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

have her write a letter to her family!.!.!.that way, she can make sure she tells them exactly what she wants to tell them, without forgetting anything, and they won't be able to interrupt her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
