My DH has this phobia about buttons!. You show him buttons or talk about it enough he gets all squeamish!. It's hilarious!! Anyway, I was wondering if there is a technical term for people who are afraid of buttons!.

Koumpounophobia is the fear of buttons, there are actually quite a few out there!. Trypophobia is a fear of holes in objects so I guess that socks could fit into that category!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think most phobias are related to Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) but that's just personal opinion, I'm no expert!. Certain medications can calm the anxiety related to phobias and therapy can help as well!. But they will probably try and desensitize him by making him face what bothers him most, so be prepared!
