Answers:
Lexapro is an SSRI like Prozac - I think maybe a little newer!.

I take Wellbutrin SR (150 mg) in the morning, and Lexapro (10 mg) in the evening, for depression and anxiety!. I've been taking that for over a year and a half, and it's working very well for me!.

The Wellbutrin SR seems to help me to be more alert and active - and wanting to do things - while the Lexapro makes me more mellow, and it helps me sleep better, too!.

Before I started taking the Wellbutrin SR with the Lexapro, they had me on 20 mg of Lexapro - and as you mentioned, it made me very drowsy!. We dropped the Lexapro down to 10 mg, and added the Wellbutrin SR at 150 mg, and I feel so much better! You didn't say what your Prozac dose is, but you might ask your doctor about cutting it back, and adding Wellbutrin SR at 150 mg - and take it in the morning!. That might help you to be more alert!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have taken so many anti-depressants to try to find the best fit!. If Prozac isn't working well for you tell your Dr!. to try another out!. Lexapro may be a good fit for you!.!.!.or not!. You just have to try it out as they affect everyone in different ways!. Prozac was horrible for me!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's just a different SSRI, the isomer of Celexa, theoretically with fewer side effects!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
