How to make your self feel happy?!


Question: How to make your self feel happy!?
I suffer from depression, i was just wanting to know ways to make yourself feel more happy!?

i know you'll say go out with friends!. i can't really go out with my friends because they don't ever want to go out i'm lonely here!.

is there anyother good ways that work!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

it's a monumental waste of precious energy to try to 'make' yourself happy when you are not!. Instead ask yourself 'what's behind this!?' and keep asking until you get an answer!. You'll know when you hit the right one; it'll just click into place!. Then you can deal with whatever is the CAUSE of it, rather than try to head it off, stuff it back down or ignore it!.

Afterwards treat yourself to a funny comedy, listen to uplifting music, be nice to yourself, etc so that you can replace the 'downer' feeling with something more positive and enjoyable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

MAke a list of all the positive aspects you have!. The things you like about yourself - and dont say that there isnt anything u like about urself cos there must be at least on thing!. Then see if your mates can make a list for you on the good things that you have - obviously dont sound attention seeking when you ask them to make you list!. This way you can compare what you think about yourself with what others think about you and see how you underestimate yourself and dont see yourself as clearly as others see you!.

Watch comedies they put you in a good mood!. Or listen to your favourite music!.

=D just realise that in comparison to what some people lives are like - ie: druggies; poor people in third world countries; those with HIV; orphans etc that your life is actually pretty amazing!.You have more good points to your life than bad i am positive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do the things you like, but only those that give you satisfaction in the long run!.

If your friends don't like to go out, then do something that doesn't require going out!. Organize something at your house e!.g!. house party, or just renting a movie on a cozy evening, or play monopoly together!.

You could also go out by yourself, and meet new people!. You know, you're probably not the only one who's lonely in this world!. Having no friends is no excuse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The mind is so powerful! I battled anxiety for years (anxiety is a sister so to speak of depression) and what helped me most was slowly replacing negative thoughts with positive ones!. This is hard at first but just like everything else it gets easier with practice!. We tend to believe every thought that pops into our heads but negative thoughts are lies and we dont have to dwell on them or believe them!. Laughter is also helpful!. Watch a sitcom you enjoy or a funny movie!. Also try smiling even if you dont feel like it!. try it-just smile!. It actually releases positive chemicals into your body that help you feel better!. Try doing a party at your house, or doing something that you don't have to be with friends to do!. Something that always makes me feel better is to talk to one of my friends or youth leaders about my problem!. Try focusing on the good things in life, not the bad ones!.
