Question: I think I am depressed, need some advice!?
I babysit my neice to earn money!. I dont want to work!. I cant bare the thought of being trapped in a place for hours!. Even for tons of money!. Well except for staying home!.
I dont want to leave the house because I dont see the point why!. Even if its fun things that I used to do!. When I even think about what I'm leaving to go do I get a bummed out feeling thinking "well im gonna be bored" or "i wont like it im not gonna have fun" so most of the time i cancel plans or put things off!. i dont know why i think like this!. I lost contact with pretty much all of my friends over the past few years and am only in constant contact with 1!. I would maybe get out there and make more friends but I dont see the point!. And relationships!? HA!.!.!.dont even get me started!. I have been through so much I also swore off men!. I dont wanna live like this!. I wanna be able to go out and get a real job, have my friends back and do things that normal people do!. I am always thinking negative things!. I honestly dont see the point to go out, get a job, have friends and do fun things!. I feel like there is no point!. People tell me to just do it, guess what!? I cant!. I dont want to!. I want to but I dont!. Please somebody help me what is wrong with me!?!?!? I dont want to go to a psychologist because I doubt this problem is so important that I should pay an arm and a leg for advice!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I spent many years lost in the hell of depression, and it was extremely close to your description!. I got help, and now it has been many years that I have lived a generally contented, balanced and usually happy life!. I have some thoughts for you:

That was a very courageous thing, to open up and describe the difficulties of your life so honestly and thoroughly!. I admire you for that!.However, I would like to ask you if you honestly believe the b!.s!. in the very last line you wrote, "!.!.!.!.!.I doubt this problem is so important, blah, blah, blah!.!.!." You are talking about almost total dysfunctionality, unhappiness and immobilization of thought and action!. Sounds pretty damn important to me!. What do you think!? And "an arm and a leg" is $50-$125!. Are you trying to say that ALL that you have been through and continue to experience can even be remotely rationalized away by not wanting to spend that sum!? YOU are priceless, and despite your own thinking, you deserve better!.

You sound depressed to me!. Significantly!. And part of depression is impaired judgement, which prevents us from finding our way out without outside help!. If you truly want to get some answers and start to really heal, make an appointment with a licensed therapist and ask to take a Binet (or similar) depression analysis questionaire!. It's only 20 to 30 simple questions, highly accurate and is scored right away!. You can't get better if you're not willing to take a look, and depression only gets worse when ignored, never better!. Yes, you sound depressed!. You don't necessarily have to go to a psychiatrist!. Your family physician should be able to help!. Tell him/her that you would like to try a mild anti-depressant to see how it'll work!.

I think that maybe you should just try to force yourself to go to a doctor!.!.see what (s)he has to say and get help if need be!. Don't live another day like this, christmas is coming and you are supposed to be happy!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not sure how old you are but it sounds like you just need a girls night out!. That 1 friend, invite him/her over and try to relax!. Pop in a movie and have popcorn, soda, and cookies!. And don't say it'll be boring!. Just let the world go on as it likes! Don't worry about it!

Have you always been a pessimistic person!? There's not a lot i or anyone can do it's you that has to fix things!. Think about the positives of things!. Lets take Going to get a job for example: You might meet new friends, you might get awsome benifits, you make money, you could be in a really interesting line of work that gives you fun challenges every day! Just stop your self and think like that! :) It's easy for me cuz I'm an optimistic person but a lot of kids at school that are VERY pessimistic followed my advice and it helps a bit!.

You need to support your self so try to get a part time job at least!. All I can say is "Always look on the Bright side of Life!" Just get a job, make new friends, and stay open look at the positives and wave off the negatives! :) Good Luck! Www@Answer-Health@Com

It seems like you are stuck in the middle of an awful depression!.
Even though most of you does not want to do things that might help you feel better, a very small part of you is trying to dig your way out!.
Please take that very small part to see a doctor/therapist!. Medication and therapy is very helpful for depression!. Even though everything inside you is telling you not to do anything, please take the step that can help you feel better!. I have been depressed for many years!. You realized something is wrong!. So change it!. Of course its not going to be fun at first!. But i don't imagine staying at home will fix it!. You need to self motivate yourself and stick to it for awhile and see what happens!. Look for new hobbies!. Hmm well for one if you talked to your friends you probably wouldn't have this situation!.

If you leave the house thinking something is gonna happen you like you are determined to have a bad time!. Say positive and if you don't go out it's not gonna get any better for you!.

Getting a job!.!.!.I hate working I've had two jobs but it's a learning experience, it's a way to meet new people because I'll say 60% of the people you'll be working with also hate their job so that's conversation!.!.!.

Not going to a Psychologist was good because they're people just like us!.!.!.but more expensive!. I think it's more of a suck it up thing!. You'll never know if you don't go!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
