Sleeping disorders. Does the diagnoses confirm?!

Question: Sleeping disorders!. Does the diagnoses confirm!?
Patient:
Female, 18 years old!.
Possible PD+, NP+ D-

The weird thing is that the panic attacks happens most at night!.And when it happens day light it's when the person is sleeping!.I basically thing is NP, but as the patient doesn't have normal history of day light panic attack I'm not sure about the diagnoses!.

When the panic attacks happen, they are based on death ideas and extracorporeal experiences!.

No traces of traumatic experience, neither depression!.

Does the diagnoses confirm!? PD+, NP+ D-!?

Is it possible the patient has a simple PD and a very sever NP!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I had a similar situation!. If the patient is having panic attacks at night in their sleep then there must be a fear associated with dreaming, like you said death!. This would fall in the night terror catagory!. If the patient is having panic attacks right before they go to sleep then the fear might be falling asleep itself because they think they might die in their sleep!. Many people like this feel not in control when they are asleep!. It is really hard to diagnosis something like this because I think it hould be a sub-catagory itself!. The best thing is to have the patient to talk therpy and confront the fear they are having and talk about it, figure out why they are afraid!. Also if the patient is not sleeping as mine was not at all, I would recommend an SSR1 drug or remeron!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
