People with OCD can have unwanted and intrusive thoughts as part of their disorder!. Perhaps that's what this is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nick, my friend, the best this to do it to talk to your doctor!. Zoloft has some properties that can cause suicidal and hopeless ideas!. Without changing the strength of the Zoloft, you might be able to add another medication that deals with these thoughts without altering your mood!.

Dude, it's great that you are able to see the problem and that you are actually fighting against the thoughts, but I would hope there could be a way to help you deal with the side effects!. I admire your desire to overcome the effects of the pills you take, it isn't easy to do what you're doing!. It takes great strength!. I wish you the best and I hope your doctors can help you!. Really Nick, aside from adjusting your doses or adding something else, I am not sure what else you might be able to do!. I am no doctor, but I am thinking yours might be able to help you!. I frankly don't think OCD is about hopelessness or futility thinking!. I just believe your doctor will be able to suggest something that can help!. It's worth a try!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

The wrong drug(s) especially if you're young (teen, early 20's) can cause these unwarranted thoughts!.

Intrusive thoughts is part of your condition!.

People who're clinically depressed have these same thoughts!.

Intelligent people always question the meaning of life and the world around them; there's nothing wrong with that in fact it's a sign you're a thoughtful person, just don't allow it to cause unwarranted fear and anxiety!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Questions like "what's the point!.!.!." are symptoms of OCD and depression!.

It's like if every day a neighbor asked you, "What kind of shoes are you wearing!?" You would know that the neighbor actually doesn't want to know the answer, it's just a way of making contact with you!.

So it is with the "why am I living!.!.!." and "what's the point!.!.!." questions!. There is no answer!. But ASKING the question is a sign that you are upset, anxious, or depressed!. So take it as a sign, like feeling hungry is a sign you need to eat, and feeling cold is a sign you need to do something to get warm!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be or it could be what you wish it wasn't!. Depression!.

I had it!.!.!.!.didn't feel like I had it until it had devoured my mind!. Took therapy!.!.!.now I'm very happy but it wasn't the therapy that helped!. I took long walks on the beach!.!.!.sat outside in the freezing cold, and wrote!.

I'm now writing a book!. Just write down what you feel!. Hope I helped!.
