Anyone who has Borderline Personality Disorder?!
Question: Anyone who has Borderline Personality Disorder!?
Can you tell me what symptoms you experience!? Are they the typical symptoms you find on-line/in books or are they a bit different!? My psychologist is reluctant to make a diagnosis as he barely knows anything about me because I am difficult to talk to!. I believe I may have BPD, and if I tell him this, it might open some doors to some new discussions!. Telling me about your experience or symptoms would be really helpful!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have BPD!. I get mood swings almost instantaneously!.
Frequent bouts of depression!.
Love/hate relationships!.
Tendency to isolate myself!.
Dissociation!.
I often fear abandonment!.
Sometimes I have difficulty knowing "who" I am!.
I often get angry over small things!.
I often resist therapy!.
In other words, all the usual symptoms!. If you believe you have BPD it is VERY important that you tell your psychologist all that is going on with you!.
It is NEVER a good idea to diagnose yourself, you cannot be truly objective!. You are difficult to talk to because you have trust issues; common with BPD!. You need to cooperate as much as possible with your shrink, otherwise he cannot diagnose you accurately, and you will not get the problem solved!.
BPD is notoriously hard to diagnose, and even harder to treat!. That is why it is so important to open up with your shrink!.
I went for almost 20 years being diagnosed and treated for numerous disorders other than BPD, and one of the big reasons was my trust issues!.
