I need something, ANYTHING to make it stop!.!.!. Part of my just wants to curl in a ball and stop breathing, not move and never get up, but if I die my mom will be stuck with my student loan debt (she cosigned) and my fish would probably die!.!.!. Sad, isn't it!? Those are the only two reasons to live that I can think of!.!.!. Stupid fish!. :(

The first half of this year I didn't have any depression at all!.!.!. why!? Because of Mark!. He was my "sort-of-boyfriend"!.!.!. we texted & emailed (lived too far away) and then in june he just stopped talking to me mid-conversation, hasn't responded to a text since!.!.

I need help!. I can't stop and I can't wait 'til tomorrow for this!.!.!. I can't even BREATHE!.!.!. everyone else in the house is asleep!.!.!.

woah, this really wierd feeling just came over me, like I'm a little out of it, I don't know!.!.!.

AND FOR THE RECORD:

I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs, so none of that is affecting my mood right now!.!.!. AND I'm not gonna start!.

My face is raw from brushing away tears, my eyes are soggy and my shirt is soaked!. My breathing is shallow & pretty ragged and I can't calm down!.

Any help anyone could give would be great!.!.!.

You're probably wondering why I am waisting my time writing an answer for you!. Not to just get 2 points on this website, but to also help one of the depressed people out there like you, who seem to think there's no hope!. Maybe your life will be saved!.

What you don't realize is, that it seems like you need someone to talk to or change the subject for you!.

You know, if you think the way you look is what people don't like you for, you are absolutely wrong!! It's not that at all!. you look like no one else and that's a great thing!. Looking like you and staying the same is an incredibly strong thing already, you see, you're already stronger!. If i met you, i wouldn't judge you on the way you look, but because of your personality!. People don't like people who are depressed!. You probably looked or sounded miserable!. Hey, there are incredibly ugly people who are famous, such as Quentin Tarantino and Andrew Lloyd Webber, and i'm sure you look much better than them!!! What does this mean!? it means you can be a great person if you're just happy about everything and get on with your work!.

Depression is a horrible thing, and i have had it too, but that was because of a family member passing away, well, my brother and my grandfather!. You're luck the people you love haven't died yet!.

Actually, you seem really weak and spoilt!!

If you want to have a life, you need to pick yourself up and see the good side in everything, and for gods sake, stop crying!.

Depression is curable, that's why everyone else is happy!. because they cure themselves!.
to be honest, you have two choices:
-therapy
-get to your senses and do something to begin your own life!. think to yourself that you are being stupid for upsetting yourself this much, do your coursework to the best of your ability, even if you think you're not good at it, and always talk to someone if you feel like crying!. don't keep it inside you!. If everyone else can cure themselves, so can you

Go for it, eat well, live well, never be lonely and have a lovely, happy life!!!

Smoke weed, bro-ette!. I don't, personally, but it's helped a lot of people I know through depression!. I know you said you won't try drugs, but what's the worst that could happen!?
It isn't addicting and it's not really that bad for your health!. In fact, it's healthier then cigarettes!. It takes a lot for you to be damaged health-wise!.

It's worth giving it a shot, if you ask me!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ask yourself: "Why do I feel depressed, and when did I first start to feel this way: can I associate this with any recent change in my life!?" (if so, it is probably situational depression: counselling, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is indicated)!. Or, was it a more gradual thing, with no apparent cause!? (a nutritional deficiency, hypothyroidism, environmental toxicity, or reactions to some medications, etc!., becomes more likely as the cause)!. Antidepressants work quicker than the following; 2 - 6 weeks, but you may have to adjust dosage, or types, whereas St!. John's wort is effective for most people, tolerance doesn't develop, and the few side effects don't occur often, and even then are normally not severe (neither should be relied on as a sole treatment)!.

It doesn't cause sleeping problems, or weight change, but usually takes at least 2, and generally 4 - 6 weeks to become effective, but can work quicker than antidepressants, sometimes!. A recent, independent German double blind study showed it to be as effective as Sertraline (marketed in the USA as Zoloft: a commonly prescribed antidepressant) in cases of major depression, with far fewer side effects, and those were generally better tolerated, with a lower rate of discontinuation!. Unlike antidepressants, where sexual dysfunction is a common side effect, it happens much more rarely with St!. John's wort (I have noticed no effect in this area)!.

Remember back to a time when life was full of promise, or a day when you felt particularly good, or possibly excited from a good result!. Emotional states are associated with memories, and if it isn't major depression, this method can help!. A multidimensional approach to treating depression without medication follows!. All except for no!. (7!.) are safe to use with medication, but not St!. John's wort, because of interactions, and it's sensible to check out anything else first with your doctor!.

(1!.) Take 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements, daily: (certified free of mercury) it is best if consumed with an antioxidant, such as an orange, or grapefruit, or their FRESHLY SQUEEZED juice!. If vitamin E is added, it should be certified as being 100% from natural sources, or it may be synthetic: avoid it!. In the winter months, replace 2 Omega 3 with a teaspoonful of cod liver oil, if not getting sufficient daily exposure to strong light (http://www!.mercola!.com/ SEARCHBAR: enter: "vitamin D")!. Also take a vitamin B complex which is certified as being 100% of natural origin; a deficiency in vitamin B9 (folic acid, or folate) is known to cause depression!. Around 30% - 40% of depressed people have low vitamin B12 levels!. Depressed females using the contraceptive pill may benefit from vitamin B6 supplements!. ~~~ (2!.) Work up slowly to at least 20 minutes minutes of exercise, daily, or 30 - 60 mns, 5 times weekly!. Too much exercise can cause stress, which isn't wanted when dealing with depression!. ~~~ (3!.) Occupational therapy (keeping busy allows little time for unproductive introspection, and keeps mental activity out of less desirable areas of the brain)!.

(4!.) Use daily, a relaxation method* and/or yoga*, and/or Tai Chi!. ~~~ (5!.) Initially, at least, some form of counselling, preferably either Cognitive Behavio(u)ral Therapy, or Rational Emotive Behavio(u)ral Therapy!. ~~~ (6!.) Maintain a mood chart, and daily activities schedule!. ~~~ (7!.) As options, if desired, either a known, effective herbal remedy, such as St!. John's wort, (get a German variety, if possible; local ones may vary in effectiveness!. Take with a meal) or supplements, such as SAMe, or Inositol (from vitamin and health food stores, some supermarkets, or mail order: view section 55)!.

If 5HTP is used to boost serotonin levels, (which are low in depressed people) it is best taken with a high carbohydrate, minimal protein meal, like pasta, with tomato & basil, and avoid protein for 90 minutes, before, and after, to maximise the amount crossing the blood/brain barrier!. Also, 80% of people in the Western world have low magnesium levels, and these are known to cause depression & anxiety!. Try the magnesium supplement types shown in http://www!.real-depression-help!.com/ Some of these will be available in pharmacies, or supermarkets!. Low levels of calcium, and potassium can also cause depression!. Have your blood tested, and correct any deficiencies, preferably through improved nutrition!.

An improvement can be noticed in as little as a week, if a deficiency is the cause!. Also, use iodised salt, as many people are deficient, affecting thyroid function (one of the treatments in books on depression is iodine drops)!. Try to imagine, as vividly as possible, a time in the not too distant future, when you have overcome this temporary setback, and things are much better!. *View section 2, on the first 3 pages, and also pages R, C, I, and section 11, at http://www!.ezy-build!.net!.nz/~shaneris also young women's depression, and page V; WOMEN TO WOMEN!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you've never tried counseling or meds you might want to give it a try!.

Are there bad things going on or did a lot of bad stuff happen in your past!? It could be a chemical imbalance or it could be circumstances or both!.

You might want to try an anti depressant if you've never tried them before and see if it helps!. Different ppl have different reactions!. It may help a lot and the worst that could happen is that it didn't work!.

Also you can always find a new b/f!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

i always tell myself that 'if this is the worst, then things can only get better!.' it helps!.

Hey girl, calm down!. Life is s*it sometimes, but it gets better, honest!. The trouble with depression is when you're in a hole you can't find a way out, it is self-feeding!.

You need to do something distracting and mindless, to stop you thinking about it!. You are feeling overwhelmed and out of control, so you need to get some perspective!. Step away from all the assignments etc and spend 10 minutes just doing nothing, watch some crappy TV, play with a pet etc!.

Then you need to make a plan to deal with the things you need to - taking control will make you feel much better!. Work out what you need to do, how long it will take and make a timetable, with lots of breaks!.

But mostly you need to realise that you are a valuable person with lots to give, you are just a bit over-sensitive at the moment (it sucks being a teenager but you'll make it through - I did!) but it will pass!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
