What's the politically correct term for someone who is addicted to their per!

Question: What's the politically correct term for someone who is addicted to their perscription meds!?
I don't mean taking them too much or abusing them, just when someone has been on a type of medication (let's say, a particular anti-depressant) for a long time and their body is so used to it that it has reduced/no effect

"dependant upon" just sounds like "addicted" with kiddy gloves!. Is there a nicer word!?

Cheers in advance ^^Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
you have developed a tolerance!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

If they continue to work at the precribed dose, then you would be dependant upon them to function!.
If they don't continue to work at the prescribed dose, but worked in the past, then you have developed a tolerance toward the medication!. The dose needs to be increased or a new medication prescribed!.
Addiction is when the medication is more important to you than friends, family and your job!. It consumes you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have developed a tolerance, you are not addicted!. There is a difference!.

Although, you may be addicted to the idea that you need meds!. Most Americans are addicted to the idea that they need some sort of chemical to 'live,' that's why pharmaceuticals are such BIG business!. Doctors are so 'kickback'ed by Pharm that they always know you need some type of med and so willing to give it to you - aren't they just so gracious!

Oh, BTW, I have some ocean front property in Arizona, interested!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Addicted is politically correct!. What is politically incorrect about pointing out to your doctor that you are addicted to the steroids he or she has prescribed for example!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
