Question: Mental health: what should I do!? please help me/please read on!?
Ok!. So I feel reallyyy bad!. I've been struggling with my eating disorder again!. I was diagnosed @ 11!. Almost died @ 14!. Got a nose tube!. Went away to residential for a year!. Im now 17 and have been home fir almost 2 years and was doing great!.
But recently!.!.!. I haven't been doing very well!.
I lost about 12-13 lbs in 1 1/2 weeks
My social worker @ school has been on my case for a while now!. But since it has gotten worse she's been more worried!.
My friends emailed her (friends who have never met her) and told her they were worried!.
Then- I went on the computer @ school to see if I could eat lunch since I had had only 70 calories in over 24 hours!. So I wanted to see if pb&j would make me gain weight!.
She stood behind me and saw what I was doing and got pissed
Then I asked her if pb&j would hurt me!. She said no!. And I took the crust off the sandwich!. And I guess she thought I only had half of it!.
So I went to talk to her and she was REALLY worried!. She made me tell my parents cuz she was scared for me!.
I told my mom and she minimized it!. So did my dad!. I now know that they don't think its bad as it is!.
A lot of me is glad!. They won't worry as much!. And won't think its serious so I can get away with more!.
But I feel kind of guilty for not being honest!.

Part of me also feels that I might need the hospital to get better!. I might need that extra help!. I half want to get better!. But my ed has more control!.
So idk what to do right now!. Im frustrated and nervous
I feel fat and sad!.

I feel so shitty!. Especially that I did this to my family again!.

Can you help me!? Do you have any advice!?
What should I do about my family!? From what you know!.!.what do u think it will take to get better!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You sound very strong to me!. You have had to be to survive what you've been through already!. I want you to take that strength and, using it, go tell your parents the ED is back and is bigger than you again, that you really need an intervention now, that your life depends on it!.

All beating yourself up over this will do is make you feel bad and will give even more fuel to the eating disorder to use against you!. You are not a failure!. Recovery from an eating disorder is not meant to be perfect, and you are not meant to be perfect!. There is no shame with having an eating disorder or a relapse!. I am totally clueless about EDs, but it sounds as though this is something you may have to deal with again!. As you are now!. The URL below talks about recognizing triggers for relapses and what to do once you find yourself in one!.

Please hear this if you hear nothing else: you did nothing to your family!. What is going has to do with neurotransmitters in your brain!. You did not cause this!. Did you go into a store and see on a shelf "Eating Disorders! 50% off today! Get one while they last!" and buy it!? Of course not!. It hit you out of nowhere!. You are the victim here, not your family!. Don't let them minimize it!. You need to get back to the doctor and get help again!. You know this; you are smarter than your parents on this, believe me!. Sure, they want the problem to go away!. But problems don't go away on their own; they fester and worsen!.

You have already recognized you need help!. That just shows how smart and aware you are!. You will be even more aware next time, and I bet you catch it before it takes you sideways again!. Unfortunately, we learn so much through our suffering!.

If you don't want to talk to your parents, then print my answer or someone who has a stronger, better answer, and show it to them!. Demand help!. Keep complaining until you get it!. Post your weight on the fridge every day, with a note saying "My weight today is: __!." You know what you need!. You need to harness your concern for yourself; they will be fine!.

The social worker and your friends that are telling of your problem really do care about you!. It is critically important that you receive expert counseling at this point!. It is my hope that the social worker may help you with this!.

You cannot fix this yourself!. There is never anything wrong with asking for help!. Use the resources of those that care about you!. This may lead to you being able to care about yourself for yourself!.

When you do gain control of your eating disorder, you may want to use what you have experienced to help others!. This is the true reward for overcoming this problem!.

First of all Happy Thanksgiving to all here on Yahoo!.!.

You need to ask for help, don't sit around thinking your fat and crappy all the time, you will only depress yourself worse!.

Please ask for help, and if you feel you need the hospital, then do it, but please don't keep on like this, you are really making yourself sick and very depressed!.

I have known you for awhile on here, you are such a wonderful person adn always showed strength for others when they needed it, now it't your turn to let someone help you, please!.
