Question: Should I find a new Dr!. or punch him in the face!?
I went to the Dr's to get meds for depression!.!.!.mood issues!. The Dr told me that he could prescribe anything without being monitored!. His excuse was that I have guns at home and there is a history of suicide in my family (my brother) and the meds can sometimes cause suicidal thoughts despite not having them before!. I explained to him that I have been on them before and am aware of my body and how it works!. He also said that b/c I have serious stresses in life it may not be depression and he could prescribe sleeping pills or nerve pills! WTF!.!.!.!.I need my medication!.!.!.but he says no! absolutely go to another psychiatrist!. that is absolutely ludicrus that he would not prescribe an antidepressant for you to help your depression because you have guns in your home!. This is all the more reason that he would want to help you with your depression!. Like any group there are those who care and those who don't!. You need another one as soon as you can!. We know what would happen to you if you punched him, I'm certain that was not serious but expressing your anger at him and I don't blame you for your anger!. Don't discuss with the new psychiatrist what the old one said just to be safe just say that you weren't comfortable with him!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You should try getting a second opinion from another doctor and if they say they don't see a problem with you taking the meds then maybe you can convince your doctor to reverse his decision!.BTW you should also try to realize that your doctor is just worried about your health and safety!.I wish my doctor cared about me that much!.ex!.I told him I was suffering from anxiety & depression!.Next thing I know he's prescribing me 4 different meds(2 of which I'm sure weren't even for my kind of problems)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
sounds like u have some type of psychosis, not depression!. n ur doc is right, he cant just be prescribing u pills cuz u want em or think u need em!. he should have u on seroquel, or zyprexa, or respiridol, not anti-depressants!. all those are anti-psychotics n u sound like u need to chill n not punch ur doc in the face!. its called battery n u can go to jail! chill out n listen to ur doctorWww@Answer-Health@Com

I know when you feel bad you want your meds!.!.and you want them now! That's how I was!. But be thankful that this doctor cares enough to take precautions with you!. Most of us are trying dreadfully hard to find a doctor that actually cares about us and doesn't just pop out medicines like candy!.

theres always more doctors out there!. Most of them are very liberal in perscribing drugs, However, if this doctor knows you well and you two are comfortable, maybe he is trying to look out for your best interests!.!.!.!. if not, go on to the next quackWww@Answer-Health@Com
