Answers:
Vampirism; Drinking blood or Sanguinarian!. Taken from the Latin sanguinarius meaning 'bloodthirsty' a sanguinarian is someone who believes they have a need or have a craving for blood!. This desire is non-erotic in nature!.

From teenage fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer who travel to conventions with their mothers, to "real" vampires who drink human blood, usually from a willing volunteer!.

Mostly they make a little cut in their boyfriend's arm, drink a bit that way, and think it makes them a vampire!. Others love the fantasy, and it's all in their heads!. They've never drunk a drop of blood in their lives!. In any case, I'm told blood is disgusting and makes you vomit!. The scientists who know about such things tell me it is best drunk with vodka!.

Then there are what we call psychic vampires, who feed off the energy of other people; or "wannabes" who think and dress like vampires but are really quite harmless!. Some people like only Anne Rice's vampires and will read nothing but her books!. Hammer House of Horror obsessives care little for films made post-1973, while Goths look down on vampire fans who wear fangs and cloaks!.

Bite Me was conceived at the world's biggest Dracula party, in Los Angeles in 1997, the centenary of Bram Stoker's book!. It has a readership of 15,000 here and overseas!. Subscribers come from across the UK, Germany, the US and Sweden!.

Contributors include the German forensic biologist Dr Mark Benecke, listed in Who's Who in the World for his contributions to forensic science!. In his spare time he is European vice president of the world's biggest Dracula fan club, in New York!. He has written reports for Bite Me on spontaneous human combustion and offered a forensic view of impaling!.

Another contributor and huge fan of vampires is Dr Raymond T McNally, professor of east European and Russian history at Boston College!. He is the best-selling co-author of In Search of Dracula, the first historical biography of Vlad "the Impaler" Tepes!. McNally was part of a team that discovered the real Castle Dracula in 1969 in the Carpathian mountains of Romania!.

It has been noted the Vampire subculture has stemmed largely from the Goth subculture, but also incorporates some elements of the sadomasochism subculture!. The subculture is so prevalent and involved as to result in the publication of at least two glossy magazines devoted to the topic, while the Internet remains a prevalent forum for the community!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its called human hematophagy or
Drinking blood and manufacturing foodstuffs and delicacies with animal blood is also a feeding behavior in many societies!. For instance, cow blood mixed with milk is a mainstay food in the African Maasai!. Some sources say[citation needed] that Mongols would drink blood from one of their horses if it became a necessity!. Black Pudding is eaten in many places around the world!. Some societies, such as the Moche, had ritual hematophagy, as well as the Scythians, a nomadic people of Russia, who had the habit of drinking the blood of the first enemy they would kill in battle!. Some religious rituals and symbols underline the importance of metaphorical hematophagy, such as in the transubstantiation of wine as the blood of Jesus Christ during Christian eucharist!. Psychiatric cases of patients performing hematophagy also exist!. Sucking one's own blood from a wound is also a behaviour commonly seen in humans, and in small enough quantities is not considered taboo[citation needed]!. Finally, human vampirism has been a persistent object of literary and media attention!.

Judaism, Islam, and Christianity forbid drinking of blood!. There are references in the Old and New Testaments clearly prohibiting this practice (see, for instance, Genesis 9:4; Leviticus 3:17, 7:26, 17:12, 17:14, 19:26; Deuteronomy 12:16, 12:23, 15:23; 1 Samuel 14:33-34; Ezekiel 33:25; Acts 15:20, 15:29, 21:25)!.
