I am reluctant to tell you in-case you go and do it, but yes, you can use a razor to cut yourself!. Self harmers result to using anything to cut themselves!. Glass, knifes, broken CD'S etc!.
Often, once you start cutting, it becomes a severe addictive!. Like smoking!.
You might think of it as a quick fix to all your problems, or even just a way to be in control of your life, but in reality, it is not!. Please do not do it!. You are obviously very young and in the future, you are going to regret cutting!. Although they might fade over time, the scars you are left with, will never disappear completely!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My dad has a retractable tool razor which you could theoretically use to cut an inch or so deep into someone!. Safety razors are not the only kind out there!. I don't think someone who cuts itself would go out and buy something explicitly dangerous like this because they aren't trying to kill themselves!. After all they could just use a kitchen knife!. "Razor" is just used as a general term for a sharp instrument!. As to what they actually use, I think it depends on the situation and if they are actually serious about hurting themselves!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
A razor if you take it out of the plastic holding so it is just the blade and then you can cut!. But dont cut!.The only reason it takes off hair/ some skin is because of the angle the plastic holds it in!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
